Certain proposals for an AI progeny testing and bull breeding scheme were submitted to my Department in June, 1965. These proposals were not acceptable as they stood and the whole problem, which is one of major importance, has been subjected to the most careful examination. A revised scheme has now been prepared in my Department and after consultation with interested parties it will form the basis of legislation which it is hoped to introduce at an early date.
