61.

asked the Minister for Local Government what action he intends taking in relation to the serious flooding and sewerage discharge in the Stradbrook Gardens area, Blackrock, County Dublin.

Stradbrook Gardens is one of the areas included in Contract 2 of the South County Dublin surface water drainage scheme which is to be carried out jointly by Dublin County Council and Dún Laoghaire Corporation. Final contract drawings for Contract 2 have been submitted and are at present under examination in my Department.

62.

asked the Minister for Local Government what action he intends taking in relation to the serious flooding at Deansgrange Road, Rockford Park and Rockford Terrace, Blackrock, County Dublin.

I am informed by Dublin County Council, who are the sanitary authority for the area, that precautionary measures have been taken by them against a recurrence of the flooding referred to, which, it is understood, was caused by the blockage of a road culvert at Stradbook Road.
