Examination of these compulsory acquisition proposals has not yet been completed.
My Department has been in correspondence with the Council and with the representatives of the persons having control of the sites at O'Neill Crowley Street and McCurtain Street in an endeavour to have the sites cleared and developed by the persons concerned. In the case of the site at Front Strand arrangements are being made to have the site inspected when the Inspector is next in the area with a view to my determining whether it is a derelict site within the meaning of the Derelict Sites Act, 1961.
