asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that in the transport of fertilisers to farmers from Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta the contract for haulage was given to CIE although their tender was 6s. 6d. per ton higher than the hauliers association who also tendered under the same conditions; if this is in accordance with Government policy; and, if so, if the beet growers will now be compensated for the £16,000 extra cost to them for delivery of these fertilisers.
