Mr. T.J. Fitzpatrick

(Cavan) asked the Minister for Finance the number of State pensioners at the latest date who are in receipt of pensions (a) not exceeding £100 a year, (b) exceeding £100 and not exceeding £125, (c) exceeding £125 and not exceeding £150, (d) exceeding £150 and not exceeding £200, (e) exceeding £200 and not exceeding £300, (f) exceeding £300 and not exceeding £450, and (g) exceeding £450.

Following is the statement:—

NOTE: The numbers given above are numbers of pensions and not pensioners. Many pensioners would be in receipt of more than one pension but it is not possible to separate them.
