Vol. 226 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Printing of Telephone Accounts.

9.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why telephone accounts for submission to subscribers are not printed in Ireland; and if he will arrange to have this work done in Ireland.

I would refer the Deputy to the answers given on 8th April, 1964, 21st April, 1964, 4th November, 1964 and 2nd November, 1965 to previous questions relating to this matter.

What are those answers?

I was drawing your attention to them. They are all available in the Library.

Why would you not get them printed in Ireland instead of hiding behind the answers of two years ago? Why not get them printed in Ireland? Is it not up to the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs to show an example?

I agree, and he has been endeavouring to do so.

They are printed in America.

There is a difficulty in so far as both the paper and printing are concerned in getting them done here.

If anybody else did that, you would say it was national sabotage.

Did you try to get them done?

Whom did you go to, a few subscribers?
