Vol. 226 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Liquor Sales to Juveniles.

74.

asked the Minister for Justice if his attention has been directed to the sale or serving of intoxicating liquor to persons under age; if so, what action was taken; and if he will issue a warning to licence holders that practices of this kind will not be tolerated?

I do not know what the Deputy is referring to in the first part of the question.

The Garda have clear instructions to pay particular attention to the provisions of the Licensing Acts regarding the sale of intoxicating liquor to young persons. If the Deputy has any particulars of contraventions of those provisions, perhaps he would let me know and I shall have them investigated.
