Vol. 226 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - UCD Entry Qualification.

89.

asked the Minister for Education if he will ensure that students who commenced their leaving certificate studies in 1966 will not be prevented from entering UCD if they do not have two honours in their leaving certificate examination in 1968, as the change from a pass course to an honours course after one term would be unfair to the student and might even necessitate an extra year at school.

In accordance with the powers conferred by its Charter on the National University of Ireland, of which University College, Dublin, is a constituent college, the setting of conditions for entry to the university is an internal matter.
