Ceisteanna—Questions (Resumed). - Fat Cattle Prices.

Mr. P. Hogan

(South Tipperary) and Mr. Gilhawley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the average monthly price per cwt. prevailing last year for fat cattle during the months of July to November inclusive in Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report a statement setting out the average market prices available to my Department for the period July to November, 1966, in Scotland, England, Six Counties and the Twenty-six Counties. The figures for the Twenty-six Counties are the monthly Dublin market prices for fat cattle of all types but the figures for Scotland, England the the Six Counties are available only on a weekly basis and relate only to fat cattle certified under the British Fatstock Guarantee Scheme.
