With the exception of two officers employed on welfare duties in the Department of Justice, the officers listed were recruited to general service grades and acquired their degrees in social science after entry; they are engaged on departmental duties appropriate to such grades.

The number of social science graduates recruited as such was one in 1964 and two in 1966. One has since resigned. Recruitment is related to the occurrence of vacancies.
