I made an offer of a State grant of £35,000 or 50 per cent of the cost, whichever is the lesser, to Dublin County Council on 30th March, 1967 towards the cost of improvement works at Skerries harbour on the understanding that the council would provide the balance of the cost. On the same date I asked Dublin Port and Docks Board to accept full responsibility for the maintenance of the completed works.
Until I receive acceptance from both bodies, I cannot forecast when work will begin but my aim is to have it started as soon as possible.
Is the Minister aware that the county council have accepted this?
I have to wait for the others.
