Vol. 228 No. 3

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 11, 12 and 2. Questions will be taken at 2.30 p.m.

I should like to refer to the sitting days for next week. Next Thursday will be Ascension Thursday and normally we would sit on Wednesday from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Arbour Hill commemoration ceremonies will be held next Wednesday and we have arranged with the Army authorities that they should conclude about 11 a.m. in order to facilitate the attendance of Deputies. The Deputy may not discuss my reasons.

It is no wonder that the people of Cork——

The Deputy will resume his seat.

——will regard you as the latest recruit to the gang of conspirators in this House.

The Deputy will resume his seat.

The people of Cork will regard you as not carrying out your duties in the Chair and that you are now in a conspiracy. I do not think you are being fair to yourself.

The Deputy will resume his seat.

He wants to be put out.

He is going to make his point.

I regret that I have to report that Deputy Casey is refusing to obey the directions of the Chair.

I think it could be quite easily solved if you would explain your own personal position in the matter and why you did not carry out your——
