Vol. 228 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wexford Land Allotment.

19.

asked the Minister for Lands the amount of arable land held by his Department in County Wexford; and the average period which elapses between the acquisition of such land and its apportionment.

The Land Commission have at present on hands in County Wexford an area of some 1,800 acres of arable land to be used for land settlement in the county. As to the average period which elapses between acquisition and division of land, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a question on this subject on 26th of last month—Vol. 228, cols. 178 and 179 of the Official Report.

I may say that the total area allotted in County Wexford during the last three complete financial years exceeded 2,600 acres.
