The European flag was flown on the usual Government buildings on Europe Day this year on 5th May. It was not flown on Leinster House as neither the Dáil nor the Seanad was in session and in general it is not the practice to fly flags on Leinster House when neither House is in session.
The flag was flown in Castlebar in very distinguished and well-dressed company.
I was not there.
