I have seen the statement referred to by the Deputy.
The long-term needs of University College, Galway, will be considered in common with those of other university institutions in the light of the report of the Commission on Higher Education.
I would, however, refer the Deputy to my reply to a question on 25th April, 1967, in which I indicated that discussions are in progress between my Department and University College, Galway, on schedules of accommodation for a new building for chemistry, experimental physics and biochemistry and for a new library and cafeteria in the College.
