The number of CIE salaried staff in receipt of redundancy compensation under the provisions of the Transport Act, 1958, as at 31st March, 1967, was 283 and the amount of compensation paid to such staff in the year ended 31st March, 1967, was £113,573. The corresponding figures in respect of wages grade staff are 1,243 and £275,161 respectively.
