Vol. 230 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shannon Airport Bus Transport.

1.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power why the practice of conveying passengers by bus to and from aircraft at Shannon was suspended for a long period, thus making it necessary for passengers to walk long distances often in bad weather; and whether he will now give an assurance that suitable arrangements will be made for the future.

The carriage of passengers by bus to and from aircraft at Shannon has never been undertaken except occasionally in inclement weather when aircraft were parked in remote positions. I understand that Aer Lingus, as handling agent for the airlines, are considering the introduction of an apron transport service.
