Vol. 231 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meeting with Northern Ireland Premier.

1.

asked the Taoiseach whether he proposes to hold a meeting with the Premier of Northern Ireland; and whether a venue has been arranged for such a meeting.

There are no immediate plans for such a meeting and consequently no venue has been fixed.

As I have indicated on other occasions, I look forward to meeting Captain O'Neill at a time and place which will be convenient to us both. Meanwhile, meetings between our respective Ministers are continuing to take place as and when necessary in pursuance of our policy of co-operation on practical matters of mutual benefit.

Is there any possibility of a tripartite meeting between Captain O'Neill, Mr. Wilson and the Taoiseach in the near future in London?

There is no suggestion to that effect that I know of.
