I understand that at present the turbary requirements of the district in question are being catered for by means of private lettings but that this practice is not proving altogether satisfactory. Whilst the Land Commission have no turbary on hands in Altashane they propose to undertake a survey of the bogs in the district with a view to considering whether a scheme of regulations can be devised which would satisfy all the interests involved.
