Vol. 231 No. 11

Ceistenna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Estates.

24.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is proposed to divide the Scanlon estate, Ballyglass, Kilsallagh, Castlerea, County Galway, which was acquired by the Land Commission.

25.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Farrell and Hurley estates, Curlack, Ballymoe, County Galway, which were acquired by the Land Commission, will be divided.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 24 and 25 together.

Arrangements for the preparation of a composite scheme for the Farrell and Hurley estates, aggregating 144 acres, are in hands—and it is expected that resale proposals will be approved so as to permit allocation of at least part of the laids in the coming Spring.

It is not possible to forecast just now when a scheme for the 35 acre Scanlon estate will be ready but there will be no avoidable delay.
