Vol. 232 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Kerry Estates.

27.

asked the Minister for Lands the date on which his Department acquired the Clifford estate, Listellick, Tralee, County Kerry; and when it is proposed to allocate it.

Possession of this 171 acre property passed to the Land Commission in February, 1964. Arrangements for preparation of a scheme of division for the main portion of the lands are well in hand and it is expected that allocation may be feasible this spring.

28.

asked the Minister for Lands the year in which his Department acquired the Pert estate, Arabella, Ballymacelligott, Tralee, County Kerry; when it is proposed to allocate this holding.

This property comprising 151 acres vested in the Land Commission in June, 1964. The necessary local inquiries preliminary to allotment are being pushed forward as rapidly as possible and it is expected that allocation will take place next year.

29.

asked the Minister for Lands why the Land Commission holding at Inchincummer, Currow, Farranfore, County Kerry, which was formerly owned by a person (name supplied) has not been divided to date; and when it is expected that this holding will be divided.

The formulation of resale proposals for this 42 acre holding has been unavoidably deferred due to pressure of land settlement demands in other areas. However, I expect that plans will be approved so as to permit the lands to be included in next year's allotment programme.
