As I have stated in my replies to the Deputy's previous questions, I intend to re-constitute the City of Limerick Vocational Education Committee in due course. I hope that I may be in a position to introduce the necessary enabling legislation soon.

asked the Minister for Education if he is now in a position to state the full cost of the sworn inquiry into Limerick Vocational Education Committee; and if his Department are prepared to bear this cost.

I have received expert advice on the accounts submitted and I hope to complete my examination of this advice soon. I will then be in a position to decide what costs may be allowed.
With regard to bearing the costs of the inquiry, I would refer the Deputy to my reply on 21st June last to his question in this matter.
