My Department recently received an application from the Reverend Mother of St. Mary of the Angels, Whitefield, Beaufort, County Kerry seeking recognition of the Home as an approved institution for the care of mentally handicapped children. I have arranged for medical and architectural officers of my Department to visit the Home at an early date and when this inspection is completed, I will give the matter full and sympathetic consideration.
