The answer is yes. A grant towards meeting one-half of the expenses of sending a team for non-equestrian events has been approved subject to a maximum of £6,000. A further grant to cover one-third of the cost of sending teams for the equestrian events has also been approved subject to a maximum of £6,000.
Is the Minister aware, or his Department, that several countries have already withdrawn from these Games because of the admission of South Africa and will that affect the subsidy to the Irish teams or will the proposal be proceeded with?
