Special promotional campaigns are being undertaken in a number of European countries whose currency has not been devalued. I will shortly be seeking authority to provide additional funds by way of Supplementary Estimate for this purpose.
Starting immediately, Bord Fáilte are undertaking major advertising and public relations campaigns in France, Germany and the Netherlands with lesser campaigns in Belgium, Austria and Switzerland. These campaigns are being co-ordinated to the maximum with the efforts of carriers and travel agents.
