As indicated in my answer to the Deputy on 15th June last, the proposed reorganisation scheme in Cork, which includes the closing of the station at Togher, is designed to release extra men for outdoor duty and to give an improved service to the public. In the formulation of the scheme, due regard was had to likely housing developments in the Togher area. The Commissioner has assured me that the scheme will make for efficiency and economy in Garda administration.
I thought the Minister said "Taca".
It is hard to get it out of his mind.
