Vol. 233 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Toilet Facilities in Dublin Schools.

2.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the unsanitary condition of the toilets in a junior school in Dublin (name supplied); and whether he will take steps immediately to have proper toilet facilities for both boys and girls provided in this school.

I am aware that new toilet accommodation is required at the school referred to. My Department has sanctioned a grant towards the cost of its provision and the manager's architects have been authorised by the Commissioners of Public Works to proceed with the invitation of tenders.

Could the Taoiseach say when this work will be put in hand?

It is a matter entirely for the manager and his architects. The necessary permission has been given.
