Presumably the Deputy has in mind proposals which have been received from local authorities to increase the salaries of local authority staff officers on foot of a recent arbitration award. These proposals are at present under consideration in my Department and I hope to be in a position to convey a decision very soon.
Is it a big job in view of the fact that they come from all local authorities?
