It is the settled policy of the Government that to the utmost practicable extent native fuels are to be given preference over imported fuels. Neither in 1967 nor 1968 has sanction been accorded by me to any departure from this policy with respect to heating installations in my Department or in the premises of any semi-State body for which I am responsible.
