Vol. 237 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Pedestrian Crossing.

36.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received proposals from Cork County Council for the provision of a pedestrian crossing at Carrigaline, County Cork.

I have received no such proposals. The provision of a pedestrian crossing is primarily a matter for the local authority acting with the consent or at the request of the Garda Commissioner.

The Minister's reply was hardly audible——

Because Deputies were interrupting.

Is the Minister making any comment other than that this is a matter for the local authority? Is he adding anything to that?

Would the Minister kindly be so courteous as to let us know what it is?

Question No. 37.

Have we moved away from my question about Walkinstown Cross?

We are on Question No. 37.

Surely I am being denied my rights in this? I am trying to get an answer from the Minister for my constituents regarding Walkinstown Cross.

Surely the Deputy is entitled to ask a supplementary question?
