With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate for inclusion in the Official Report a statement in tabular form giving the location of new primary schools which it is proposed to erect in County Meath.

Grants have been sanctioned and the further arrangements leading to the placing of contracts have been put in hands. When the working drawings and other preliminaries have been completed, tenders will be invited by the Commissioners of Public Works. |

Sites have been approved and sketch plans have been prepared. When satisfactory evidence of title has been submitted and the local contribution has been settled in each case, grants will be sanctioned. |

Sites have been offered. If, on inspection, they are found suitable, the Commissioners of Public Works will undertake the planning of the new buildings. |

(d) Kells CBS |
This school has been recommended for replacement. A suitable site for the new school has not yet been offered. |
Building work on each of the schools in group (a) above will commence during the calendar year 1969, but it is not yet possible to say precisely the date on which work on any of the schools will begin.
The arrangements in connection with the remaining schools listed have not yet reached a stage when it would be possible to say definitely when building work will commence, but in the normal way some, at least, of these schools would reach the stage of building within the next twelve months.
