Vol. 238 No. 2

Written Answers. - Rural Workers' Wages.

158.

asked the Taoiseach if he will furnish a table of rural workers' weekly wages at basic time rates as at 1st January, 1969, in the form of a reply to Questions Nos. 70-71 of 23rd April, 1968.

The following statement gives for each county (a) the basic weekly time rate of wages paid to forestry workers at 1 January, 1969, (b) the weekly rates of wages (excluding service pay) paid by county councils to road labourers at 1 January, 1969, and (c) the minimum weekly rates payable to adult male agricultural workers as from the 30 September, 1968, under the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) Order, 1968. In the case of forestry workers an incentive bonus is payable in addition to the basic weekly time rate.
