asked the Taoiseach if he will give details for each county of the Fíor-Ghaeltacht population for each of the years 1926, 1936, 1946, 1956, 1961, 1966; and if he will give estimates as to the present population trends in the Fíor-Ghaeltacht.

I presume that the Deputy is referring to the Fíor-Ghaeltacht as defined in the Gaeltacht Commission Report, 1925. I propose, with your permission, Sir, to circulate in the Official Report a statement containing the population figures for the portion of each county within the Fíor-Ghaeltacht, so defined, for the years specified. No information is available on population trends subsequent to the 1966 Census.
