The acquisition of land for forestry purposes is a continuing process and the Forestry Division is at present dealing with offers totalling 20,000 acres in County Donegal, a county in which there has been a very rapid expansion of activity in recent years.
The staff assigned to land acquisition has been increased and a new office is being opened in Donegal to deal with offers in that county.
