I move:
That a sum not exceeding £60,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1970, for a grant (grant-in-aid) to An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
Is there any review from year to year of the actual work of the chomhairle?
There is a report out just today.
Will this be our only opportunity to speak on this?
I think this is your best opportunity. Incidentally, the grant has been increased recently from £40,000 to £60,000. I am sure that if the Deputy waits until the details of the report are available to him he will have some other opportunity of speaking on it.
Why is the title of the chomhairle the same in English as it is in Irish?
Because the official title of this body is An Chomhairle Ealaíon and it has no other title.
