The only semi-State body for which I have a responsibility is Radio Telefís Éireann. Under the Broadcasting Authority Act, 1960, authority is vested in the Radio Telefís Éireann Authority to determine the terms of employment and remuneration of its staff. The question of equal pay for men and women doing the same work is a matter to be processed through the normal collective bargaining procedures.
