Expenditure to date in connection with the transfer of the Department of Lands and Education to Castlebar and Athlone, respectively, amounts to £34,217 of which £28,407 was spent on the acquisition of land. No expenditure has yet been incurred on new buildings. A firm estimate of the total cost of the transfers is not yet available.
