Separate statistics of tourist traffic through Shannon Airport are not available as the traffic is not broken down by categories of passengers. Total terminal traffic for the first nine months of 1969 amounted to 434,733 passengers as compared with 348,006 for the corresponding period of 1968 or an increase of 25 per cent. It would be reasonable to assume that purely tourist traffic through the airport increased by a similar proportion.
