Apart from two projects (one an expansion of an existing industry) which commenced production this year, I am aware of two proposals for the establishment of major industries and one proposal to expand an existing industry in County Mayo. Seventeen projects have been approved for grants under the small industries programme and a further twenty-five applications are being examined by the IDA. Since industrial proposals must be treated as confidential, I am unable to supply further particulars.
