asked the Minister for Education if he will state in respect of the provision of money for grants for the advancement of culture etc. the manner in which it is proposed to pay such grants and to whom; if an allocation will be made to the county boards of national athletic organisations to assist in the provision of club rooms and training facilities for promising athletes; and if he will make a general statement on the matter.
There are so many voluntary organisations involved and their activities are so varied that the question of the allocation of the funds that may be available is a very complex one. It is under active consideration at the moment but until the detailed assessment has been made it will not be possible to indicate the basis on which grants might be paid.
