asked the Minister for Education whether his officials have assured educational interests in Carlow that the Regional Technical College there will not compete with existing secondary schools.

At a recent meeting, some educational interests in Carlow expressed fears that in relation to post-primary education all senior cycle courses might be concentrated in the regional technical college. They were assured that there were no grounds for such fears.

asked the Minister for Education whether the students at the Regional Technical College in Athlone are not in fact being taught in the College and if they are not so taught, the reason for this.
