Vol. 244 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) Fire Station.

88.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he considers it necessary to erect a fire station and ambulance station in the centre of the new town in Ballymun, Dublin.

The provision and location of fire stations are entirely matters for sanitary authorities who are obliged under the Fire Brigades Act, 1940, to make reasonable provision for the prompt and efficient extinguishing of fires in their districts. The provision of ambulance stations is a matter for individual health authorities.
