asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider the introduction of a special provision of an additional tax free allowance for registered blind persons along the lines of the supplementary £100 tax free allowance for blind persons in Britain plus a further £100 allowance granted in respect of a blind person's wife.

The Deputy will appreciate that I cannot indicate in advance what proposals the next Budget statement may or may not contain.
