As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:—
Numbers of Inspectors: Four inspectors are engaged on new house grant inspection work in Dublin, four in Cork/Kerry, two in Mayo, two in Galway/Tipperary North Riding, and one in each other county. In addition, a proportion of the time of six supervising inspectors is occupied by this work.
Number of Applications: Records of the numbers of applications received for new house grants are not compiled because a proportion of applicants do not go ahead and build. The following are statistics of the numbers of new house grants allocated in each county in 1969:—
