N.B. Costs for the various categories of school are met as follows:—
(a) Comprehensive schools: Entirely from State funds.
(b) Secondary schools: Partly from State funds and partly from private sources.
(c) Vocational schools: Entirely from public funds—partly from Central Government and partly from the local authorities.
(d) National schools: Mainly from State funds but some expenditure is borne by the school managers.
The costs shown above relate only to expenditure from public funds—no information is available in my Department as to the amount of money from private sources expended by the school managers in the case of national and secondary schools.
