asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the aggregate pre-tax profits of the 25 companies which published their accounts in the fourth quarter of 1969; and what this figure represents as a percentage of profits declared in the previous year.

67.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the aggregate remuneration paid to the directors of the 25 companies which published their accounts in the fourth quarter of 1969; and what this remuneration represents expressed as a percentage of the preceding year's payments.

68.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the net profits declared by a total of 220 public companies apart from banks which published, in the calendar year 1969, accounts which were comparable as between the latest and the previous year; and if he will state these profits as a percentage of the previous year's earnings.

Particulars of profits of individual public companies and of the aggregate amount of directors' remuneration may be ascertained from the statutory returns lodged with the Companies Registration Office, 13/14 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, on payment of the prescribed fees.
