asked the Minister for Local Government if there are any proposals before his Department for the development of a car park at West Gate, Clonmel, County Tipperary; and, if so, when it is proposed to execute such a plan.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the proposal of Clonmel Corporation for the provision of much needed car parks in Clonmel, County Tipperary; and when sanction for the proposals will be forthcoming.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions 49 and 50 together.

A proposal from Clonmel Corporation for the layout as a car park of a site at West Gate, Clonmel, is at present being examined in my Department. In addition, proposals by the corporation for the lay-out as car parks of sites at O'Connell Street and at Katherine Street/Kickham Street are also being examined. It is hoped to communicate with the local authority about these proposals shortly.
