I am informed by the ESB that the Mullagh area of County Cavan is in the board's Lislin rural area and that Virginia is in the Maghera area. It is hoped to extend supply to these areas under the board's planned post-development programme within the next two or three years.
Is the Minister aware of the serious inconvenience caused to people in the area, all of the farming community, and will he give any indication when it is expected they will get a supply?
At the moment there are other areas in the particular general area that are being investigated. I will have the whole matter looked into and I will reply to the Deputy setting out the position fully in the course of a week or ten days.
