The Commissioners of Public Works have prepared a coast protection scheme for Strandhill and have sent it to the Sligo County Council for exhibition. When the scheme has been exhibited and the other requirements of the Coast Protection Act, 1963, have been complied with, works may commence. It is expected that the works stage will be reached early next year.
