Vol. 248 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Licensed Premises Regulations.

107.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether safety regulations exist with regard to licensed premises; whether these regulations include provisions governing electrical installation and their inspection; and if not, whether he will introduce such regulations in view of the danger to the public from overcrowding in certain premises.

Existing legislative provisions confer adequate powers on local authorities to control licensed premises from the point of view of safety, including fire safety and danger from overcrowding.
